PUMPKIN SEED OIL
MODE OF EXTRACTION-
Pumpkin seed oil is obtained from the seed of Cucurbita pepo by pressing roasted hulled pumpkin seeds through cold pressing method.
USES-
Pumpkin seed help lower inflammation, as well as your chances of suffering from certain chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, arthritis and cancer. Commonly used as a salad dressing, pumpkin seed oil may be used alone or in combination with other healthy vegetable oils, such as olive oil. Possessing a dark green color and rich, nutty flavor, pumpkin seed oil adds an exotic appearance and boost of flavor to many cooked dishes. Pumpkin seed extracts improved bladder function in animals. Because they are high in zinc, pumpkin seeds are a natural protector against osteoporosis. Low intake of zinc is linked to higher rates of osteoporosis.
The same phytosterols that lower cholesterol also protect against many cancers.
Certain photochemical compounds in pumpkin seed oil may have a role in prevention of diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease).
